Meet The Coaches
Head Golf Coach/Professional
I am a qualified PGA (AA/T) Professional and level 3 coach with over 40 years coaching experience. I have taught all abilities from beginner to professional and am fully versed in biomechanics, sports psychology and swing mechanics. For a number of years I have been using new video technologies to enhance my coaching.
I started my career as a trainee assistant at Worthing Golf Club. On qualifying as a PGA professional I moved to Ham Manor Golf Club as senior assistant before becoming head professional, a role which I retained for thirty three years and was honoured to be captain of the Sussex Professional Golfers Association in 1996.
During my career I have played in many tournaments and have won a number of Pro-Ams. I was twice a member of the victorious TGI golf team in the Ashworth Cup at Celtic Manor and The K Club. I also hold two course records, one in the UK and one in the USA. To this day I am still as keen as ever to maintain a high standard of golf as I believe it an essential requirement for great coaching as I learn from my experiences.
Assistant Golf Coach
My mission as a golf coach is to get more people to learn, laugh and play the game of golf by creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment. I believe that golf is open to all and is a sport everyone can enjoy regardless of age, ability, gender or background.
The game brings friends and family together and creates opportunities to meet new people and travel. It is a beautiful sport, welcoming all walks of life, and integrates not segregates.
I am a PGA licensed and qualified assistant golf coach having achieved ASQ’s Award in Golf Coaching. I specialise in coaching and introducing beginners to the sport. I coach on the weekends alongside my full time role as Head of Marketing of a large financial services organisation.
As a commitment to my strategy of creating an inclusive and welcoming environment, I attained UK Coaching’s Duty to Care accreditation which is an umbrella term that encompasses the following areas: Inclusion, Diversity, Mental Health, Well-being and Safeguarding.
